Today was a simple day.
We slept in a bit, had breakfast, finished packing and headed to the
train station. Our train to Montreal
left at 11:30. As we are traveling
business class we were able to hang out at the Business Class lounge until time
to board. We also had a nice lunch on
the train...that included an awesome chocolate mousse.
Unfortunately it was grey and overcast and rather dark all
day so between the weather and the cloudy windows on the train we weren’t able
to take pictures. The scenery was pretty
with part of the route right alongside Lake Ontario. And we saw a lot of good fall color.
It was a bit rainy in Montreal when we arrived. We had dinner reservations at the Bonaparte
Restaurant. While there we saw several
couples from the train…all are headed on to Halifax like us.
The dinner was very good with great ambience…in an old
building with original brick walls in the interior of the restaurant. And the wait staff obviously all spoke French
as a first language.
