Today
we headed out again; traveling farther up into New York where further research
on the fall foliage reports suggested that the foliage was approaching peak
color. While we found occasional small pockets of reasonably decent color it
appears that this year the foliage just isn’t that great. More than one report indicated that the large
amount of rains during the summer reduced the fall color (no idea how that
works).

and picturesque farming country.
We stopped in a pretty town for lunch.
We even found a covered bridge. Unfortunately they had it closed for repairs and restoration so we couldn't go out on it.
While we were a bit disappointed in the fall colors we both agreed that it was a great drive. We ended the day in Morristown PA.
